Friday night at Shawn's
There was a gathering at Shawn Connelly's house on Friday night, which he and Anne graciously volunteered to host. One of the reasons for having this get-together was because Kevin Isbister couldn't attend the reunion - he caught a flight to Denmark the day of the reunion to attend a geeky computer conference. Another reason was so people could bring their kids. Kathy Asplund also attended the party but couldn't come to the reunion. The following people attended with their families: Shawn Connelly, Kevin Isbister, Bob Chen, Jerry DeGelder, Stormy Kies, Kathy Asplund, Mike Burrell, Don Kaiser, Vivi Fritz, and Jeff Poehlmann. Sorry if I missed anyone!
There was an accident on Randall Road that took us an hour to get around, so we didn't arrive until after 7:00. Tim Roessler had the same problem, and they actually gave up and went home because it was so late. There were a lot of young kids and they had a great time running around in the dark.
We had a great time. Thanks again to Shawn and Anne!

This was a great opportunity to introduce my wife (and infant daughter) to my hometown friends and a sense of the old Woodstock community spirit... She had a great time and it's hard to say which of us actually enjoyed it more. Couldn't have asked for better hosts, either!

Yes, it was great for everybody to accomodate my travel plans with a nice evening of kids screaming my name. As I recall, it was just like high school.
